YIVO will host its first arts tour exploring the influence of Jewish artists on the Russian avant-garde in the visual arts, music, stage design, and literature.
On this exciting tour, we will have privileged access in places like Minsk, Novogrudek, Vitebsk, Daugavpils, and St. Petersburg. Noted historian Dr. Samuel Kassow, art expert Dr. Malgo Bakalarz-Duverger, and Dr. Eddy Portnoy, Senior Researcher and Director of Exhibitions at YIVO will illustrate the fascinating ways in which Jewish artists impacted and were shaped by the Russian avant-garde. There will also be an optional add-on to Paris.
The tour will be chaired by Irene Pletka, vice-chair and Ilya Prizel, of the YIVO Board of Directors.
