Yiddish Writers in YIVO's Archives

Referencing Isaiah 11:6, which describes how “the wolf will dwell with the lamb,” this cartoon casts a group of Yiddish writers as the animals who will be at peace with one another after the arrival of the messiah. The irony of it was that many of these writers were in constant dispute and often fulminated against one another in the Yiddish press. YIVO Archives.
